Round 1 of the Woolworths Junior Titles kicks off at Waitpinga this weekend

Published on 09/02/2023

South Australia’s best junior surfers will descend on the Fleurieu Peninsula this weekend for the opening round of the 2023 Woolworths Junior State Titles presented by GLOBE this weekend.

Grom’s will compete across six divisions in the first of three events which will determine the South Australian Junior surfing team to compete at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles to be held in Victoria later this year.

Swell is predicted to be pretty solid for the weekend and with strong Westerly winds forecast it looks like Waitpinga Point which can provide some shelter from the wind will be the most likely venue.

Competitors will meet at Waitpinga on Saturday with the final call being made at 7:30 am. Be sure to follow Surfing South Australia’s social media platforms to keep up to date with event announcements.
