A Note of Gratitude as I Move Forward – Craig

Published on 13/12/2024

After 13 incredible years with Surfing South Australia, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as CEO/Operations Manager effective as of 31 March 2025.

It has been an absolute honour to serve this organisation and contribute to the growth and success of surfing in South Australia. I am deeply grateful for the support I have received from the members of the association, the broader surfing community, and my board throughout this journey.

As I step away, I am proud to leave Surfing South Australia in a strong financial position, with a bright and exciting future ahead. The organisation is well-equipped to continue supporting the sport and its community into the future.

I am confident that the next chapter for Surfing South Australia will bring even greater opportunities to our community, and I look forward to watching its continued success from the sidelines.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this remarkable journey. It has been a privilege to be part of this incredible community.

Leading into my departure I will be working closely with the board to help guide the appointment of new leadership in South Australia. We look forward to sharing further updates on that recruitment process in due course.

If you have any questions at all relating to this, feel free to get in touch but I’m sure I’ll see many of you prior to 31 March.

Warm regards,

Craig
