World Title for SA’s Neumueller

Published on 27/12/2021

SA’s Jocelyn Neumueller won her World Para Surfing Title in Pismo Beach, California earlier this month. The 26-year-old traveled as part of the Australian Team to the US to compete in the event.

She showed great form throughout the event eventually taking the title dominating the final. Jocelyn was supported at the event by SA locals Vance Gordan, Matt Walsh, and Matt Henwwod.

24 nations took part in the championships which gathers the world’s best para surfers to compete in a Paralympic-style competition.

The Irunkandjis (Team Australia) won 6 medals across 5 divisions. Jocelyn becomes South Australia’s first surfer ever to win a World Surfing Title.
