Woolworths Junior State Titles presented by GLOBE Round 2

The second round of the 2022 Woolworths Junior State Titles presented by GLOBE which formed part of the Southern Surf Festival was treated to great surf at Waitpinga on Friday.

Standouts of the day were Cadel Garner and Maia Taite who produced some of the highest scores of the event. Zac Palmer also impressed with a great tube ride in the U18 semi-finals. Overall the standard of surfing was really high. The final and deciding round will be held on the Yorke Peninsula on the 5th of June.

The three-round Woolworths Junior Series presented by GLOBE caters to both boys and girls divisions for under 14’s through to under 18’s and forms the selection criteria for state representatives attending the 2022 Junior Nationals Tiles later this year. The next round will be held on the Fleurieu Peninsula on 29 April with the final round being held on the Yorke Peninsula on June 5/6.

U18 Girls: 1st Poppy Sweetman, 2nd Meg Day, 3rd Annabel Greenleaf, 4th Hannah Partridge

U16 Boys: 1st  King Cairns, 2nd Leo Torok, 3rd Arley Partridge,4th Khai Cowley

U16 Girls: 1st Maia Taite, 2nd Keira Hunt, 3rd Maddi Gillies, 4th Leila Horlin-Smith

U14 Boys: 1st Cadel Garner, 2nd Noah Keelan, 3rd Mitchell Henderson, 4th Ashton Crowley

U14 Girls: 1st Keira Hunt, 2nd Priya Jakhwal
