Surfing South Australia INC’ is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our team on a contract basis. As the Administration Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the organisation, ensuring smooth and efficient administration management. This position is currently part-time, requiring two days per week, with the possibility of expanding in the future.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and oversee all office administrative functions, including member support, filling and general administration organisation
- Provide administrative and governance support to the board, including preparation of board reports and agendas, meeting coordination and attendance of bi-monthly board meetings
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed, and recommend improvements as needed
- Manage and prioritise incoming inquiries and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders
- Assist the Surfing South Australia events team
- Liaise with Surfing Australia, state bodies and other relevant organisations
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the association
What we’re looking for
- Preferably have administrative and governance experience
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, social media and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office suite, WordPress and any relevant administrative software
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, independent and flexible, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
