Introducing Madi Hurley Our New Administration Officer at Surfing South Australia!

Published on 03/02/2025

We are excited to welcome Madi to the Surfing South Australia team as our new Administration Officer!

Madi’s connection to surfing runs deep, she grew up competing in Surfing SA events as a junior, riding both shortboards and longboards, and taking part in Microgroms and school surfing competitions. She has also contributed behind the scenes, volunteering as a shadow judge at events like the Hurley Winter Classic. While she now surfs for fun, you’ll often find her at some of her favourite breaks, including Robe, Middleton, Byron Bay, and Agnes Water.

Beyond the surf, Madi brings a wealth of experience in sports administration, community engagement, and marketing. She spent over three years with the Adelaide Crows, delivering football carnivals and school clinics for girls across SA, and later worked at Pickstar, connecting clients with high-profile athletes and celebrities. She also runs her own freelance business, providing marketing and social media services across Australia.

Madi is passionate about creating inclusive and welcoming sports environments something she’s championed through her volunteer work with the Mitcham Football Club’s female football programs. We are stoked to have her on board and can’t wait for our members to get to know her!

Join us in giving Madi a warm welcome to the Surfing SA community!
