The Southern Surf Festival is set to make a splash on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia on the 27th and 28th of April 2024. The two-day celebration of surfing and surf competition will take place at Middleton Point and is expected to attract thousands of visitors and attendees to the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Supported by Alexandrina Council, the Southern Surf Festival will feature hundreds of competitors vying for State Championship status in Shortboard, Longboard, PARA along with Inter-Club, Twin-Fin and Mid-Length events. With some of the best surfers in the state participating, it promises to be a thrilling competition.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Southern Surf Festival to the Fleurieu Peninsula,” said Festival Director, James Bryant.
“It’s an opportunity for us to showcase the best of South Australian surfing and surf culture, while also supporting local communities and organizations. We can’t wait to see you there!”
But the Southern Surf Festival isn’t just about the competition. The festival will have something for everyone, no matter how actively involved in the sport you are. There will be live music, food trucks, vintage board shows, local wine and beer, surf art, and more, making it a family-friendly event that’s not to be missed.
Surfing South Australia is committed to supporting local communities wherever possible, and the Southern Surf Festival is no exception. The festival will work with learn-to-surf operators, local food vendors, local surf judges, work crew, and volunteers to make the event a success.
The Southern Surf Festival promises to be an exciting event that celebrates South Australian surfing and surf culture.
