With 2 to 3-foot surf rolling in under perfect sunny skies, the event saw an incredible turnout of schools from across South Australia, all vying for a coveted spot to represent Surfing South Australia at the Australian Junior National Surfing Titles in Wollongong, New South Wales, later this year. The vibe was electric, the surfing was top-notch, and everyone left buzzing with the joy of a day well spent in the waves.
The trials showcased a high standard of surfing, with teams from schools like Victor Harbour High School, Sports College South Australia, Encounter Lutheran College, Cardijn College, Westminster, and Woodcroft bringing their A-game. The clean, consistent sets at Middleton Point offered the perfect playground for juniors to show their talent. From the U16 groms to the U19 chargers, every heat was packed with action, and the beach was alive with cheers, laughter, and endless high-fives.
